This past weekend, an unforgettable event unfolded outside Bukit Jalil Stadium when a Malaysian woman gave birth just before Jay Chou’s concert began. Numerous concertgoers who were queuing to enter witnessed the extraordinary moment.
The woman’s husband, a chef originally from Chongqing, China, assured that both mother and baby are doing well. However, as their daughter was not born in a hospital setting, she is currently in an isolation ward for observation.

The husband admitted that his wife, a devoted fan, would not miss the concert after securing such hard-to-get tickets, according to China Press. He also shared that his wife is expected to be discharged from the hospital by today, October 29.
Appreciative of the well-wishes from strangers and fans alike, especially those present at the scene, the husband expressed surprise at the media attention this incident has received. He added, “This was a unique situation that no one would have planned for. My wife faced enough challenges during her pregnancy, and we hope she can recover peacefully without further disruption.”
For those speculating about a concert-inspired name for the newborn, the father has clarified once and for all: the name has no connection to Jay Chou.
However, he did add with a smile, “If Jay Chou returns to Malaysia, we’d still be keen to attend!”
Congratulations to the couple on the arrival of their new bundle of joy!
