For fans of Hong Kong legend Andy Lau and Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou, this week’s concerts in Kuala Lumpur have been the highlight of the year. But for one Jay Chou fan, the night became even more memorable in a surprising way.
A Malaysian woman, who was heavily pregnant, attended the concert with plans to see her favourite artist live—but instead, she gave birth just outside the stadium before the show began.

In a viral post on Xiao Hong Shu (RED), medical officers were seen helping her to an ambulance, one carrying the newborn as onlookers cheered and laughed. The video’s poster later confirmed that the woman indeed gave birth, sharing that it wasn’t just a typical baby kick moment!
Social media couldn’t get enough of the story, with many admiring her determination to attend the concert:
“Born in the year of the dragon, and at a Jay Chou concert—this kid has an epic birth story!”
“Imagine your mum telling you that you were born at a Jay Chou concert in front of hundreds of cheering fans,” one user quipped.
