On August 31 KST, Jeongyeon dropped episode 7, titled “Got loads of Sanghwa's things only when we visited Kangnam's home to get his things?!” featuring television personality Kangnam. In this episode, Jeongyeon visits Kangnam’s home, which he shares with his wife, speed skater Lee Sang Hwa.
During their chat, Kangnam revealed he runs a coffee shop, which took Jeongyeon by surprise. She shared that she had once worked part-time at a café, recalling, "I used to work part-time at a cafe."
Kangnam was impressed, exclaiming, “Wow! You juggled part-time jobs, school, and auditions all at once?” Jeongyeon nodded, and Kangnam suggested she should write a book about her experiences.
Jeongyeon also opened up about a more personal struggle. She revealed, “I had a panic attack and had to take a break. During that time, I worked as a barista at my friend’s coffee shop.” Kangnam was surprised by this and commented, “You didn’t just stay home; you kept working.”
Jeongyeon worked from 6 AM to 4 PM, and Kangnam joked about the high hourly rate he thought a TWICE member might command, calculating, “Your friend must be bankrupt by now.” Jeongyeon reassured him that the café owner was very kind.
Jeongyeon’s return to the spotlight has been a journey. After suspending her activities in 2020 due to anxiety disorder, she resumed in June 2021 but had to pause again after two months. Since February 2022, she’s been active and now hosts her own web variety show, The Inspector.
Happy to see Jeongyeon back and sharing her story, fans continue to support her as she navigates her career and personal growth.
