This Photo Of Two Siblings Holding Hands While Their Father Is Being Taken To Hospital Is Just Heartbreaking

The COVID-19 pandemic has been hard on all of us, especially those who’ve had to deal with their family members being taken away by an ambulance after testing positive for the virus.

Recently, a photo went viral of two siblings holding each other’s hands while watching their father, who was COVID-19 positive, getting in an ambulance.

Politician, Lee Khai Ming, shared the heartbreaking photo on his Facebook page saying that the father was having breathing difficulties at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday (May 18th).

The father was believed to have contracted the virus from his workplace before bringing it home and spreading it to his three children aged one, three and five.

The single father is the sole breadwinner of the family and is working as a salesman.

His children tested positive for COVID-19 as well, but they showed no symptoms.

While being on the phone with the patient, Lee said that he had to catch his breath every few seconds. He said he was reluctant to leave his children but in the end he compromised and did it for the sake of his children.

Lee told the father to stay strong and stay alive for his children.

The children are now being taken care of by their grandfather who tested negative for the virus.

Prior to this, the children practised self-isolation, while food was being sent by their grandaunt via delivery services.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has made arrangements for the family to be in a hospital together.

Lee and his team also performed deep cleaning of their home once they were taken to the hospital.
