Among the artists scheduled to perform was California-based indie band, Peach Tree Rascals, whose dedicated fan, Anith, heard news about their arrival at the airport and their hotel location from a fellow admirer. Eager to meet the band, Anith and her two friends swiftly created a sign using a manila card and set off to try their luck.

Their efforts paid off, and they were able to meet Peach Tree Rascals at the airport upon their arrival. Little did they know that this was just the beginning of an unforgettable experience. Anith later discovered that she had been added to an Instagram group named PTR Malaysia, dedicated to Peach Tree Rascals fans.

With only one night in Malaysia, the band's crew invited several lucky fans, including Anith and her friends, to have dinner with the band at Jalan Alor. Over a delightful meal, they shared laughter and stories, making memories that would last a lifetime. To the fans' sheer delight, Peach Tree Rascals treated them to a live rendition of their most famous song, Mariposa, and even unveiled a few unreleased tracks, granting the fans an exclusive sneak peek into their musical world.

Australian rapper kid LAROI, who was also set to headline GVF 2023, expressed his apologies and love for Malaysians through an Instagram Story after learning about the festival's cancellation.

Determined to make the most of his time in Malaysia, the artist decided to host a "private performance" for his dedicated fans who gathered in the hotel lobby. This impromptu show brought joy and excitement, allowing the fans to experience an intimate and unforgettable moment with their favorite rapper.

Despite the festival's unfortunate turn of events, the genuine connections formed between fans and artists became a silver lining that warmed hearts and kindled a sense of unity. These heartwarming encounters demonstrated the power of music to bring people together and create cherished memories that transcend any challenges faced along the way.
