Netizen Came Back To Maggot-Infested Fridge After 2 Months Of MCO

Since cross states travel restrictions were relaxed as we entered the fifth phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO), many Malaysians have left their hometowns back to their rental lodgings in urban cities.

While everyone is eager to resume their normal everyday lives, one netizen received a shock of his life upon returning to his rental house and discovering its new occupants- MAGGOTS!

Twitter user, @adib_ozil, left the house he rented in Shah Alam for 2 months right before the MCO was enforced. He and his housemates are university students, and since classes are now all online, all of them returned to their hometowns during the MCO period.

But what happens to your house if you leave it for 2 months? Probably nothing, so they thought. A possible power outage might have occurred while they were away and the results….

With no electricity and food being left in the fridge for 2 months, a colony of maggots infested every corner of their house fridge, that you can actually feel them on your skin just by looking at these pictures.

Adib’s housemate jokingly told him that they would need a full set of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to clean this mess up, in which Adib replied that he would rather move.

The post has since gone viral with more than 3,000 retweets and netizens sick to their stomachs seeing the maggot-infested fridge!

Adib thanked netizens who offered tips on how to clean his fridge but also tried his luck in getting a new fridge off netizens.

We’re taking a shower and not eating for the next couple of hours. Let this be a reminder for everyone to check on your belongings after you’ve left them!
