These elite schools are considered to be the most prestigious, the most outstanding, and the most sought-after in terms of acceptance and graduation in the world. So it’s a pretty big deal when someone in Malaysia gets accepted into one of the eight Ivy League universities.

Many were moved recently by a video on Twitter of a young guy who got accepted into two Ivy League universities. Yes, TWO!
The man, who is known on Twitter as Alif Idlan recorded a video of him telling both his parents the good news.
Alif received the acceptance letters from two Ivy League schools, Columbia University in New York City, New York, and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In the video, Alif was seen sobbing uncontrollably while delivering the good news. Ahh, our hearts!!
His caption reads: “Happy Mother’s Day, Ibu.”
Both his parents, his brother, and his grandmother all sounded ecstatic and excited for him through the other end and they never stopped congratulating him and telling him how proud they were of him. It’s making us cry, too!
One person commented on the video saying, “As a mother of a little boy, I cried together with your Ibu. She kept asking “Are you happy?” which made me cry with joy, it’s what every mother wants for their children. Fly high, young man!”
Netizens also shared their excitement for Alif and congratulated him on his placement in TWO Ivy League universities.
The video has since garnered over 288.9 thousand views and over 2,000 likes on Twitter at the time of writing.
