Despite the speculation that he had left the country following a special event at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, some fortunate admirers managed to catch glimpses of him, and one even received a delightful video call from the star.

Currently, Jackson is in Thailand, where he made a notable appearance at a high-profile event last night (Sunday, 4th August). During this appearance, he shed light on the true purpose behind his extended stay in Malaysia. Here’s the scoop: “In a candid stage interview, Jackson shared with the audience that he’s been deeply immersed in creating his next album, tentatively titled "MAGIC MAN 2."

He revealed that he has composed between 18 and 19 tracks for the upcoming project, slated for release in 2025.

Jackson disclosed that his creative journey for this album has taken him across several countries since March. Malaysia was one of the key locations where he finalised his work. “I was in Malaysia specifically to work on the music. My process began in Japan, continued in Korea, and concluded in Malaysia for the final sessions,” he explained. He also mentioned that this album's creation process has been markedly different from his previous work.

Unlike his past projects, there was no predefined concept for "MAGIC MAN 2." Jackson elaborated, “For this album, we started with a blank slate. There were just three of us working on the songs, figuring out the meaning behind the lyrics and the concept for each track. This method was more time-consuming, which is why the album won’t be released this year.”

While Jackson’s explanation clarifies his presence in Malaysia, the exact reasons for choosing our country as the final production stop remain a mystery. It could be due to the convenience of having an event here or perhaps collaborations with local talents and producers.
