The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living recently launched the Menu Rahmah programme, to help Malaysians in the B40 income groups and the hardcore poor so that they could enjoy a balanced meal for RM5 or less!
And since the programme had gone viral online, many eateries and food vendors have also jumped on the bandwagon to offer affordable meals for those in need… even durian sellers!

Recently, a Facebook post went viral of a durian vendor, Durians Atok who offers a pack of durians for only RM4.99, and they managed to sell ALL 50 packs in only 10 minutes!
They also clarified in their post that one customer can only purchase three packs of durians so that everyone can get a taste of their delicious durians: “Menu Rahmah for durians. Atok did this so that everyone can have a taste of our delicious durians.”
“Atok didn’t expect the post to go viral. My stall is located in Shah Alam,” the post reads.
Malaysians took to the comment section to pour in their support: “This is amazing! Now everyone can enjoy the durian. May God bless you, Atok”
“Hopefully this goes well for you, Atok. Please limit the purchase for everyone so that more people are able to enjoy your durians,” one person suggested.
