It’s normal to be nervous before ANY test! But if you’re properly prepared and your teacher, instructor or coach thinks you’re ready, then there’s really no reason to worry.
Specifically for new drivers, the first step in getting a driver’s license is to study and pass the Basic Theory Test, and after that you’ll be learning and practicing on how to drive with an instructor so that you can pass the JPJ (Road Transport Department)’s driving test.

Driving tests can be nerve-wracking, we’ve been there so we totally understand!
Recently, a video went viral of a driving instructor who recorded one of his students practicing on the hill, to prepare himself for the hill climbing test.
The video that was shared by user @appypyna shows a driving instructor monitoring his student who is doing the hill climbing test. What caught everyone’s attention is the instructor’s reaction every time his student failed to perfectly park his vehicle in the yellow box.
In his first attempt, the student didn’t manage to hit the yellow line, and during his second attempt, he kind of went over the yellow line.
But during his third attempt, the student suddenly turned his wheels and drove forward, which caused his car to hit a pole.
“Entahlah, dik” his instructor can be heard saying in the background, which amused netizens: “He is speechless, he doesn't even know what to say.”
The video has since garnered over 2.9 million views and 211,000 likes at the time of writing.
This is so funny! But it’s totally normal, especially if it’s your first time climbing up the hill by yourself, without your instructor’s help.
