DG Hisham celebrated his 58th birthday on Wednesday (April 21st), and netizens have been pouring birthday wishes on social media, with prayers that he will stay strong and persistent in the battle against the pandemic.

Especially on DG Hisham’s Facebook page, netizens can be seen sending love and expressing their support for him with some even admitting that they’ve missed watching him on television every afternoon during the Health Ministry’s (MOH) daily COVID-19 updates.

Speaking to BERNAMA, DG Hisham said that on his birthday, he wished that Malaysians will continue to stay united to fight the pandemic.

“Alhamdulillah (praise be to God) and thank you for all the wishes. Coming together will make us stronger to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

Dr. Noor Hisham last appeared on television for his daily press conference on the COVID-19 situation on Sunday (March 4th), and since then the daily updates on the pandemic has only been shared with the nation through press statements on Facebook, as reported by The Malaysian Reserve.

We still remember DG Hisham’s birthday last year when everyone in the media surprised him with a cake right after his daily COVID-19 press conference in Putrajaya. It was so heartwarming!

Malaysians, you heard what DG Hisham said!

We’re all in this together against COVID-19. Remember to always abide by the SOPs and stay at home if you can. Together, we can flatten the curve!

Also, Happy 58th Birthday, DG Hisham! Thank you for everything that you have done for the country and for Malaysians!
