The major power outage in the Klang Valley area and cities across Peninsular Malaysia on Wednesday (July 27th) literally took everyone by surprise.

The blackout affected many areas in Kuala Lumpur and as far as Penang and has caused people to be locked out of their offices or getting stuck in elevators. Ah, scary!

Despite the little setback, the power outage also brought out the best in Malaysians.

TikTok user, Charmaine Pua was driving past an intersection in front of a shopping mall in Kepong when the traffic light stopped running.

She then shared a heartwarming incident where a delivery rider stopped and parked his motorcycle at the side of the road, and took it upon himself to control the traffic in the area.

Due to his kind and selfless gesture, he managed to help keep the traffic flowing smoothly and at the same time prevent traffic congestion. She then took to her TikTok to praise the young man for helping!

The video has since garnered thousands of views at the time of writing, with many in the comment section also sharing the same experience of Abang delivery riders, helping to control traffic during the blackout.
