Being severely ill can be a huge problem and stop us from doing many things - from working a regular job to doing simple everyday things like eating and bathing.

Budin VS Baguk knows exactly what that feels like. The former school teacher and sole breadwinner had to quit his job due to stage 4 lymphoma cancer. Despite being bedridden and fully reliant on an oxygen tank, this fighter started a mini business from his hospital bed!

Working together with PageKhas Mini, Budin creates custom Khat nametags. The profits earned will go towards his expenses (a portable oxygen tank, a wheelchair, and a hospital bed), because all this man wants is to go home to his wife and two young children.

His friend, Mira Jamal, shared his story on Facebook, and explained that Budin is not one to simply accept handouts, preferring to work for his keep instead. She added that he was in a coma the last few weeks, but still managed to receive and complete orders for the custom nametags. In her words, “terer doh”.

Such resilience is rare, and Budin really proves that sickness is not an excuse if you are determined enough to do something.
