He joined the show as a guest and opened up about his personal struggles over the past year. Host Yoo Jae Suk remarked that he was handling a difficult period in his life in a commendable way.
Reflecting on a challenging year, Cha Eun Woo became visibly emotional, saying, "Last year was incredibly tough," referencing Moonbin, a late member of the group ASTRO. He shared how this experience impacted his recent work, explaining that he put his heart and soul into creating his latest album.
He revealed, "I wrote the lyrics from Moonbin's perspective. I was constantly writing, filming, and recording, sometimes late into the night, just to capture what I felt needed to be expressed."
Cha Eun Woo described his state of mind during this time as deeply conflicted. He found it hard to face daily routines and even harder to express his feelings to others. "I felt so guilty," he confessed. "Sometimes, I would ask myself whether it was okay to eat or sleep, and often I'd find myself awake, dreaming, or in the gym.
When people ask if I'm okay, I struggle to say I am because, in reality, I'm not sure. Even today, coming on this show made me anxious because I didn't know how to present myself—whether I should appear okay or not."
In closing, Cha Eun Woo spoke about his approach to moving forward. "I decided to work harder and live better," he said. "I believe that's what he would have wanted me to do, and that's what keeps me going."
Cha Eun Woo's journey through grief and healing is deeply personal, and his courage in sharing these emotions with the world is commendable!
