In June, he announced plans to start an Elews Mart chain as a way of giving back to the community and has since opened 10 branches across the Klang Valley.
He started the mart to ease the burden of those who are in need by offering affordable household essentials.
Recently Ustaz Ebit shared on Instagram that his Elews Mart sundry shop in Sungai Buloh was broken into at 3.30 am on Thursday (3 September).
“We have CCTV recording. Two men wearing helmets entered the shop. Oh Allah, I can only confide my sadness and hardships to You,” he said in the post with a picture of an empty cash register.
“May You teach the thieves a lesson and hope this will end up becoming a source of goodness and guidance,” he wrote.
He did not specify the exact amount that he had lost from the robbery.
We hope that Ustaz Ebit Lew won’t be disheartened and would still continue to help those who are in need!
