A video recently went viral on Facebook of a delivery rider being involved in a hit-and-run accident with a black MPV that can be seen attempting to overtake other vehicles.

The incident which allegedly happened in Ipoh, Perak was caught on camera by another driver’s dash camera, who witnessed the accident.
In the video, it can be seen the delivery rider was riding on the left side of the road when a black MPV driving recklessly tried to overtake other vehicles on the road, before hitting the rider causing him to topple over at the side of the road.
The driver didn’t even stop his vehicle and drove away from the scene like nothing happened!
Netizens began running the vehicle’s registration number and found the details of the driver, urging the rider to report the driver to the authorities.

According to Sinar Harian, the driver of the car has since surrendered himself to the police and made a report at the Ipoh District Police Headquarters.
The 48-year-old driver is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
