Baby Tigers To Make Public Debut At Taiping Zoo And Night Safari This September!

We were super excited when we heard about the 11-year-old tiger, Baby (who was born at Taiping Zoo herself) gave birth to three adorable little tiger cubs!

If you have been waiting to catch a glimpse of the newborn tiger cubs at the Taiping Zoo and Night Safari (like us!), well, you just have to wait a little bit longer.

According to the Malay Mail, Zoo director Dr. Kevin Lazarus said the earliest that the cubs could be put up for viewing would be in September. Well, that’s not too bad!

“Normally a tiger cub has to be about five months old before they are allowed to come out.”

Dr. Kevin added that the cubs - two females and a male are doing well. The cubs, weighing between 700 grams and 900 grams, were born on April 12 but their birth was only announced by the zoo on May 1.

The zoo has yet to decide what names to give them, adding that “We will most probably name them in two or three weeks.”

Well, we might just have some ideas on what to name the little ones, just hit us up, Taiping Zoo!
