The news was announced by Altimet himself on his Instagram, revealing that the actual modification and equipment cost will be taken care of by One Nation Centre, also known as Pertubuhan Wilayah Ummah Malaysia, through their crowdfunding efforts.
In the caption, he wrote: “The cost of the ambulance is huge, the equipment and modification costs only could reach up to six figures, excluding the price of the van itself.
“The cost is estimated to be around RM200,000.”
He also explained in the video that they are offering cheap ambulance services as Malaysia currently does not have enough ambulance services.
“There’s not enough ambulance services that are affordable, if I am to be more specific. Private ambulance services are somewhat costly while our government ambulance might not be enough for all Malaysians,” he said.
Altimet also thanked those who have generously donated to the cause and said that they are still looking for more donations.
