Third Sinkhole In KL, This Time On Jalan Dewan Bahasa Pustaka

News of the yellow Myvi that nosedived into a sinkhole at Jalan Maharajalela heading towards Jalan Loke Yew is still pretty fresh and making its rounds, but yet another sinkhole has appeared in Kuala Lumpur.

A second sinkhole yesterday appeared on Jalan Pinang and caused massive congestion in the heart of Kuala Lumpur - we can’t imagine how bad it must have been because even without problems, the congestion there is pretty bad too!

The damage has since been fixed and the road reopened for use this morning at 2am.

However, this third time round, the damage is on Jalan Dewan Bahasa Pustaka and is caused by a burst underground pipe, according to the New Straits Times.

According to a statement on the DBKL Facebook page, road users heading towards Jalan Imbi are advised to use the viadeck instead as the roads have been closed to facilitate reparations by Syabas contractors.

Third time’s the charm! We sure hope this won’t be happening again.
