Scheduled Water Disruption in Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Lumpur Districts

On October 10th, beginning at 9 am, residents in Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Lumpur districts are set to experience a scheduled water disruption that will last for a short period.

Air Selangor has recently made an official announcement attributing this disruption to necessary upgrades, maintenance, and replacement work at the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant.

The restoration of water supply will occur gradually, with full recovery expected by 12 pm on October 12th. Air Selangor's acting chief executive officer, Abbas Abdullah, elaborated on the reasons behind these essential maintenance works, which encompass the replacement of parts that have been in use since 1973.

Abbas emphasized that these measures are being taken to prevent unexpected water disruptions in the future.

To mitigate the inconvenience caused by this disruption, water tankers and alternative water sources will be dispatched to affected areas, including critical premises like hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and funeral parlors. Priority will be given to ensuring that these establishments have access to an uninterrupted water supply during this period.

Air Selangor is advising affected residents to prepare by storing an adequate amount of water in advance and to use water wisely during the supply disruption. Additionally, commercial customers can utilize Air Selangor's water tankers at two designated water filling stations located in Sunway Batu Caves and Selayang Mutiara.

These stations will provide a convenient source of water for businesses and other entities affected by the disruption.
