57-year-old, T. Ravichandran became has become the first Malaysian to successfully conquer K2, the world’s second-highest mountain.
K2, located in Pakistan is 8,611 meters high, just 250 short of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world, which is 8,848 meters high.
The weather is bad at Mount K2 Base Camp with strong wind and all climbers are resting and preparing for summit push soon.

Before K2, Ravichandran also made history by climbing Everest for the third time. Wah!
In a statement on Sunday, Ravichandran expressed his excitement and pride over the achievement. He hopes that his success will help foster patriotism and the spirit of peace and harmony among Malaysians.
Ravichandran also thanked his family and paid tribute to his wife who has supported him through it all!
He added that being disabled was not a disadvantage but instead, it motivated him to achieve what an able-bodied person can.
