The second female cub under the Giant Panda International Conservation Project has been named... say hello to the adorable Yi Yi!

Her name means ‘friendship', to mark the diplomatic relationship between Malaysia and China, which was initiated when the giant panda pair, Xing Xing and Liang Liang was sent to Zoo Negara back in 2014!

Xing Xing and Liang Liang has since given us the very adorable Nuan Nuan, who was born on 23rd August 2016, and now we have her sister, Yi Yi, who was born on 14th January 2018.

The second giant panda cub was received by our own local team of vetrinarians at Zoo Negara, who has been monitoring her growth over the past 18 months!

Not only has Yi Yi grown into a healthy cub weighing about 50 kilograms, she is also active and is in good health.

You can visit Yiyi at the Giant Panda Conservation Centre at Zoo Negara!
