Malaysia has seen its fair share of animal cruelty cases, but this is just something straight out of a Hunger Games movie.
KL police have received a report that some animals spotted near Bukit Kiara had been shot with arrows, and they’re now on the hunt for the culprits.
No further information has been revealed, and it’s unclear if the incident is linked to the archery range located in Bukit Kiara.
Brickfields District police chief ACP Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin said, "We are investigating the case under Section 29(1)(e) of Animal Welfare Act 2015, whereby animal abusers found guilty can face not more than three years jail or a fine of not less than RM20,000 and not more than RM100,000 or both.”
He also urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the police hotline at 03-88882010 or the Brickfields police hotline at 03-22979222.
