A video recently went viral online of a man who was caught stealing a goat.
In the 30-second Instagram video, a man in a blue shirt can be seen speaking to police officers, while being handcuffed.

The man can be heard protesting and refusing to admit that he had stolen a goat. But instead, he said that he was stealing the rope and “didn’t expect the goat to be there.”
“I was stealing the rope, Sir. The rope!” the man said. When the police asked why his rope had a goat tied to it, the man said: “The rope had a goat, so I had to pull the goat along with me, Sir!”
And when the police explained to him that he was actually stealing the goat, and not the rope, the man then said: “Well, I just took the rope, Sir, but I didn’t realize there was a goat.”
Netizens took to the comment section to share their amusement, “Try checking the CCTV, maybe he’s speaking the truth. Maybe the rope got caught on the goat while he was stealing it,” one person jokes.
