Fake News Alert! Children In Pahang Are Allowed To Visit Shopping Malls And Eateries

The presence of fake news is not new, and since the existence of social media, it has spread even more quickly. 

Recently, there has been news that children under the age of 12 are not allowed to enter shopping malls and eateries, which is NOT TRUE!

According to Astro AWANI, the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia’s (MCMC) quick response team said in a statement on Monday (22nd February) that the Kuantan District Police Headquarters (IPD) or DCC COVID-19 Hotline IPD Kuantan, Pahang, denied releasing any statement or posters regarding the SOPs during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). 

The statement reads: “The Kuantan Police IPD states that children aged 12 and under are allowed to visit shopping malls and eateries as long as they comply with the SOPs issued by the National Security Council (MKN) on 19th February.”
