Last Wednesday (4 November), a delivery rider’s motorcycle was allegedly stolen near Giant Hypermarket in Batu Caves, Gombak.
The motorcycle was said to have been stolen while she was on the job and a few pictures of her in her Foodpanda uniform while crying on the phone went viral on Facebook.
On Friday (6 November), Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor said in a statement that she sympathised with the rider, Nur Athirah Abdul Latif, who had recently taken on the role of the family’s breadwinner by delivering orders full-time.
Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin said that she felt sad and overwhelmed when she learned that Athirah has been working hard to support her mother and siblings. She is the second child and lives with her mother in Baru Caves with her two siblings.

In the post, the Queen of Selangor also advised everyone to be more considerate towards each other.
It’s a difficult time for all of us. Please take care of each other, and stay safe, everyone!
