“Social discipline is as high as 90% and we are seeing a recovery phase”
According to The Star, Dr. Noor Hisham said that the Ministry of Health (MOH) will recommend opening up more economic sectors such as social, sports, and education if the number of COVID-19 cases in the country remains low.
He said: “If the trend continues, we will suggest opening up more sectors and monitor the situation.”
Malaysians have been adjusting to the new normal since the implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) on May 4. Dr. Noor Hisham reminded the public that the virus is still among us, and we must keep up what we’re doing now to break the chain of infection.
“The virus is in the community, so it is important to plan how to live with the virus for two or three years until a vaccine or a treatment is found.”
He added that curbing the COVID-19 infection is a team effort between the government and the general public.
“If all of us come together, we can break the chain of infection.”
We’re all in this together, Malaysians! Let’s keep up the good work by constantly washing our hands and maintaining social distancing. But most importantly, stay at home and only go out for essential needs for now!
