“Based on data from the Johor State Health Department (JKNJ), the 30,000 pregnant women in Johor have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 9,177 have completed both doses,” he said.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), pregnant women with COVID-19 are more likely to experience preterm birth (delivering the baby earlier than 37 weeks) and might be more likely to have other poor outcomes related to pregnancy compared to people without COVID-19.

So, mummys or soon-to-be mummys, this is why it’s important for you to get yourself vaccinated and do not be complacent!

Make sure to take precautions to protect yourself from getting COVID-19! Stay safe and take care, everyone!
