What Can We Do To Help Climate Change?

For the past few days we’ve seen news about the recent Australia bushfire that has devastated the land down under.

Being thousands of miles away can make us feel somewhat helpless, especially for those who want to help.

We can start by redirecting all that energy and put it into action on a local level, to prevent the same incident happening anywhere else, like Malaysia.

So, what can we do?

1.     Talk about it. Go on your social media accounts – Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TALK ABOUT IT. Tell it to your friends and family. Creating awareness is one step closer to creating a big change.

2.     Volunteer at your local wildlife conservation efforts. Places like Zoo Negara offers the KeeperKu Programme where you will be charged for registration and the fee goes into the contribution of wildlife environmental education.

3.     Plant more trees. Trees help in bringing down rain in a process called transpiration. Extra water on the surface of leaves evaporates and adds moisture into the air, causing rain. It also helps to lower temperature with all that cool water in the air.

4.     Save water! Using less water helps to reduce the amount of energy used in the pumping of water and reduce carbon emissions that contributes to greenhouse gases that leads to climate change.

What would you do to help combat climate change?
