This morning, we woke up to a barrage of tweets lamenting that netizens could not tweet. Yes, we do see the irony in that situation.
Panicked Twitter users reported the inability to post tweets, access timelines and see notifications. Error messages received during the downtime stated “Something went wrong” and “Tweets aren’t loading right now.”
We understand, during a global pandemic with many stuck quarantining at home, there is not much that we can do other than participate in social media. When we can’t go out into the outside world, social media brings the outside world to us.
So for Malaysians waking up to these news, they tried and tweeted. All seemed fine.
However, we can assure you that #TwitterDown did not happen in an alternate timeline, it just happened while most of us were asleep from around 5.30am to 7am.
The issues now seem to have been resolved.
