Who says you have to be lonely and misinformed when you're quarantined? Snapchat is here to make sure you have all the right facts and stay connected with your friends while you’re at it!
As a nationwide movement control order takes effect from 18 March to 31 March 2020, it is important for everyone to be equipped with the right information about COVID-19. You can do this via one of Snapchat’s many functions called “Discover” that allows for a set of partners, including some of the most trusted news organizations around the world, to give out credible information on the global pandemic.
Snapchatters are encouraged to follow the World Health Organisation (WHO) channel for the latest information related to COVID-19 and also answers to some important questions such as the proper way to wash your hands.

In addition to that, Snap has also partnered with WHO to release a filter that helps educate Snapchatters on good hygiene practices. The filter includes a custom context card and when the recipient of the Snap swipes up on it, they will be taken to a WHO page with more information.
While you’re Snapchatting your friend in the comforts of your own home, don’t forget to include the newly released health-themed Bitmoji stickers, which now appear in the Bitmoji keyboard.
The fun yet educational Stickers include phrases such as, "Wash your hands", "Stay home if you're feeling sick" and "Don't touch your face" as a fun way to remind Snapchatters how to practice sensible hygiene during this difficult time.
