The Selangor State Government through its agency, Tourism Selangor continues to take proactive steps towards boosting Selangor’s tourism industry with the launch of its “Eager To Travel? Pusing Selangor Dulu!” campaign!
The campaign was first announced digitally on 10 June, following the announcement of the reopening of Malaysia’s domestic tourism sector by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) in conjunction with the enforcement of the Recovery Movement Control Order (PKPP).
As we all know, the tourism industry is one of the most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some tourism operators were forced to cease operations or operate without any profit, and those who depended on the tourism industry were affected financially, with some even losing their jobs.
Understanding this situation, the Selangor State Government has implemented two Economic Stimulus Packages and also the Selangor State Economic Recovery Plan 2020, which has been announced by YAB. Dato 'Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor on 13 July.
The Selangor State government has allocated a total of RM2,600,000.00 to assist Selangor’s tourism sectors, which includes the Selangor State Tourism Voucher subsidy with an allocation value of RM2,000,000.00.
One person will get the chance to get a RM200 voucher in the form of an e-Wallet refund or e-Vouchers. So, if you cepat, baru dapat because it’s first come first serve, guys!
Eligible recipients can use the voucher for selected travel packages that have been listed under the “Eager To Travel, Pusing Selangor Dulu!” campaign, on the Touch ‘N Go e-Wallet application or the Lazada Malaysia marketplace application.
The redemption is valid from 8 January until 31 January 2021, and the packages purchased are only valid until 31 June 2021!
So, what are you waiting for, guys? It’s time to pack up your bags and plan your next getaway right here in Selangor!
