Here’s More Places You Can Visit Online!

Previously, we covered a few places of interest such as museums, theatres and landmarks for you to visit via virtual tours. Now, we are back with more places you can discover, from the comforts of your own home!

1. Beaches and Islands

Remember the sea breeze? The sand in between your toes? Or the waves on your back? We miss them too.

While you might have to take a rain check for your next beach/island trip, you don’t need to miss the magic of the ocean completely.

Take the National Geographics’ guided dive with marine life photographer Brian Skerry and drift into the Buck Island Reef National Park which houses many unique corals and sea life. You can even spot sea turtle hatchlings making their way into the ocean at night!

Alternatively, you can also take a virtual dive with sea lions at the National Marine Sanctuaries, courtesy of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

2. Nature

If scenic views and lush greeneries are more to your liking, why not escape from reality with a trip out to the great outdoors (while you’re indoors, of course).

Canada offers so much beauty to explore- gaze into the magical night skies for glimpses of the Northern Lights streamed live every night.

Explore the Banff National Park, where it has a variety of videos available for your “trek” across the country’s oldest national park- Johnston Canyon.

A little bit closer to home, Indonesia’s beautiful island of Bali is often referred to as paradise on earth.

With its volcanic mountains, abundant rice paddy fields and most of all its bone-white beaches, get your breath taken away with these spectacular views while staying safe at home.

Lastly, for all you adventurers out there, explore the wild and rugged landscape of South Africa, including its Big Five animal safaris, captured by Wild Earth Safaris South Africa’s daily live sunrise and sunset safaris.

3. Cities

Exploring the city can be a great way to destress, especially if you don’t actually have to go through the crowd of tourists.

The financial capital of India, Mumbai is not just famous for Bollywood, it also hosts the world’s second-largest number of art-deco buildings amongst other historic colonial, gothic and contemporary architecture, all ready for you to explore at the tip of your fingers.

Meanwhile, Singapore offers you a travel experience like no other. Immerse yourself in the unique views of Garden City’s eclectic culture of modern and traditional with the help of your phone and computer screens.

With over 2000 years of history, London is one of the world’s most-visited cities and has something for everyone. Walk through iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge, London Eye and Carnaby Street and experience the magic for yourself.

And finally, for a truly out of this world travel experience….

Check out the views from NASA’s International Space Station which takes sixteen orbits around the Earth in 24 hours. You can catch either a sunset or a sunrise every 45 minutes.

What better time to view Earth on NASA’s Space Station live stream than right now?
