Muhammad Hawari Hashim, who has a physical disability, celebrated Hari Raya at the Mount Everest Base Camp (EBC) in Kathmandu, becoming an inspiration for people with disabilities everywhere.

Despite facing many challenges, including the physical difficulties of the climb and the emotional toll of being away from his family during the festive season, Hawari's determination and dedication were unwavering. "It's been two years since I celebrated with my family," he said.

"But Aidilfitri still needs to be celebrated because it is our victory day as Muslims."

According to Harian Metro, Hawari, who is part of the Malaysian Everest 2023 (ME 2023) mission, had the support of his team members as they all worked towards their goal of reaching the summit of Mount Everest.

The ME 2023 mission has the backing of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), and is a testament to the human spirit of pushing oneself to the limit and achieving great things.

Hawari's determination to celebrate Hari Raya at the Mount Everest Base Camp, despite his disability, is an inspiration to us all.

His dedication and hard work show that with a strong will and determination, anything is possible, and that disabilities need not be a barrier to achieving one's dreams.

Well done, Hawari!
