It really doesn’t take a long time for anyone to get to know BTS j-hope’s heart-fluttering personality. He was described by his members to be humble, selfless and very hardworking!
BTS member, j-hope made his solo debut in July 2022 with the release of his first full-length album “Jack in the Box” which makes him the first in the band to do so!
On January 20th, the singer announced his upcoming solo documentary ‘j-hope IN THE BOX’ where he would be taking fans on a journey into his world with behind-the-scenes footage showing the making of his solo debut album “Jack in the Box.”
This will once again, make j-hope the first of the seven members to have his own solo documentary to commemorate his iconic 2022 debut and album release!
Meanwhile, we were lucky enough to get to watch the documentary a little earlier before its release date and here are some things we definitely LOVE about the documentary, and might’ve also turned us into a j-hope stan…
Hobi being the hardworking, unique and creative artist that he is!
J-hope has finally made his comeback and we’re here for it!
His talent is really one-of-a-kind. If you were impressed by his hardworking nature before, then you will mind-blown at how this man thinks and works hard. He is very unique in his own ways and we enjoyed seeing how heavily involved he is when working on ‘Jack in the Box.’
Just like the name of his album, j-hope really brings out another side of him out of the box, sharing that he wants to showcase the emotions of Jung Hoseok in this album, “People know BTS very well, but not how BTS’ j-hope makes music.
Compared to all of BTS’ albums and his first mixtape, Hope World, you can clearly see how much he’s grown creatively and has a different story to tell. It’s a total shift from how fans usually see the idol and he definitely nailed it!
With all that hard work, he deserves ALL the success!

You can’t help but smile every time he appears on the screen. His smile is definitely infectious. But other than that, you can see that he genuinely cares about the people around him and those who work with him.
j-hope and his staff had to work tiring hours prior to him releasing his album as they continued recording and shooting his music videos under tight schedule, however, he never once stopped being the source of energy to his co-workers. He is also unbelievably polite and says “thank you” a lot which says a lot about him.
He also works very hard! He rarely shows how he works or over-exerts himself while he was with BTS, but this time, in his documentary, we can see how passionate he is about his work. Though he works hard, he always knows when to stop and take care of himself first before diving into an activity.
And this is no surprise to any BTS fans, but you can also see how he takes his dancing skills very seriously and dedicates his blood, sweat and tears to mastering a choreography. This is probably why all of BTS’ performances are always SO perfect!
The love and support that BTS has for their Hobi!
We’ve heard the saying before… “Nobody supports BTS more than BTS” and it’s true!
It warms our hearts seeing the members of BTS being there for j-hope even when they’re busy with their own solo projects, they would always be there for their Hobi. If you miss BTS, then you’ll be happy to know that there will be glimpses of the members in this documentary as well…
One of our favourite BTS moments in this documentary is when j-hope threw a huge listening party ahead of the release of his solo album Jack in the Box, inviting literally everyone in the Korean music industry, including his six brothers, RM, SUGA, Jin, V, Jungkook and Jimin.
It just puts a huge smile on our faces seeing the members having fun while supporting their brother, j-hope. With all those people in the room, the BTS members are seen always being at each other’s side, which shows how much they find comfort in the members’ presence.
This documentary also includes behind-the-scenes footage of j-hope’s phenomenal Lollapalooza debut, or as ARMY calls it, the Hobipalooza.
The BTS member headlined the last day of Lollapalooza 2022. The performance not only served as his first time taking the stage as a solo act but also the first time a Korean artist had ever headlined a major US music festival.
He is also reportedly the highest ticket-selling artist in Lollapalooza history. How iconic!
Of course, not to forget his little brother, BTS member, Jimin was there to support his Hobi hyung during his Lollapalooza debut. Apparently Jimin came all the way from South Korea to Chicago in the United States (mind you, that is an almost 13 hours flight) to support the older member.

j-hope shows his intimidating side that we’ve never seen before!
When it’s time to focus, j-hope’s serious and intimidating side shows and it can be intense, especially for the people who work with him. Working Hobi can seriously leave you feeling both afraid and completely smitten.
He’s very honest and vocal if he sees something that he doesn’t like. He wants everything to be perfect and leaves no room for mistakes. Though he can be serious, he’s still very kind and respectful towards all his staff and even greets and thanks each one of them after every event or concert.
BTS’ member, V has mentioned a couple times how he’s sometimes afraid of j-hope whenever they make a mistake on or off stage. He even picked j-hope as one of the scariest members in BTS and we can see why!
j-hope really doesn’t mess around and is very serious when it comes to working hard!
We truly believe that whatever j-hope touches will always be amazing, and we can’t wait to see what he does next!
