After winning a scholarship competition, four gifted orphans are recruited by the peculiar Mr. Benedict for a dangerous mission to save the world from a global crisis known as The Emergency.
Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance must infiltrate the mysterious L.I.V.E. Institute to discover the truth behind the crisis!
But when the headmaster, the sophisticated Dr. Curtain, appears to be behind this worldwide panic, the kids of “The Mysterious Benedict Society” must devise a plan to defeat him.
When speaking to the actor, Tony Hale who portrays a dual role in the series of twin brothers Mr. Benedict and L.D. Curtain said that he read the book before the shoot and was captivated by the world created by the writer, Trenton Lee Stewart.
“Probably what made me the most excited is that the show began with this global crisis that was happening and causing all this anxiety and fear and he gathered all these kids to find the source. These kids didn’t have magical powers, and their super powers are actually their creativity, their intellect and their empathy, and after the year we’ve had, I feel like those are super powers,” he said.
He also shared with us how his role this time was particularly challenging as he played twins, Mr. Benedict and his brother, Dr. Curtain.
“Even though they were very different, I had to find those things within myself that resonated with them. And I think that kind of helped bring them more to life.”
