Actress Naya Rivera, best known for her iconic role as cheerleader Santana Lopez on the hit musical-comedy series Glee, was found dead yesterday at a lake in California, US.
The 33-year-old went missing last week after going on a boat ride with her four-year-old son, who was found alone and asleep on the boat.
Her body was found at Lake Piru after a six-day search, and authorities found no signs of foul play or suicide.
Rivera, who began acting as a child, had a number of roles over her career, but none were as big as Santana Lopez on Glee.
Starting off as a cheerleader assigned to infiltrate the Glee club, Santana went on to become one of the most essential members of the show as a whole.
From being the primary antagonist, she evolved into an empathetic character amid her struggles on screen.
