According to BERNAMA, the 21-year-old woman, joined by one of her friends, revealed that they endured strong currents and water levels as high as their waist, just to go back home and feed her cats.

Despite the difficulties, she was determined to return home to Parit Sulong to check on her five cats.

The woman, named Nooryani, has been living with her extended family in Parit Maimon, and after evacuating her home due to the floods for over a week, she decided to go back home to check on her little fur babies.

“My dad told our family that we didn’t evacuate during the 2006 flood, but this time we were forced to leave our homes because of the rising water level. And also after the electricity was cut due to safety.

“It’s been 7 days since we left and I am determined to go back home to feed my cats that I’ve had for over 6 years,” she told reporters.

She is so brave! Not going to lie, we would have done the same thing if we left our pets for that long.

We hope her cats are doing okay!
