Our neighbors are our extended family.
It can be far more peaceful to live among neighbors that like and respect each other. Respectful neighbors are less likely to invade your space, be loud and rowdy, and make overall daily life stressful.

Good neighbors also watch out for each other and their property.
Recently, a TikTok video went viral showing the true Malaysian spirit between neighbors of different races in Jenjarom, Selangor.
The video, which was uploaded by user Ashikin shares how her Chinese neighbor held a birthday party for their child but did not invite Ashikin as they were serving non-Halal food.
Not wanting to leave Ashikin and her family out, their neighbor then came over and told Ashikin to not cook as she had already ordered them food for dinner. How nice!
The video has since garnered over 2.2 million views and 178.2 thousand likes at the time of writing.
Netizens praised the kind Malaysian and also shared their own experience of having kind neighbors, “I had two Muslim neighbors and they always share food with me because I’m living alone. Bless them.”
“We do this a lot during Christmas. We would cater Halal food for our Muslim friends and neighbors whenever we do open houses,” one person added.
Ahh, this warms our hearts! This is what being a Malaysian is all about!
