In a post shared by a local university in Terengganu, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) shows two senior citizens sitting for their first end-of-semester exam.

The post that went viral after it was shared on Instagram last week, stating that in October of last year, 56-year-old R. Ramesh and 77-year-old M. Krishnan had enrolled themselves in a four-year Bachelor of Law course at the university.
The two men were then seen taking their first paper, “Introduction to Information Technology” on Friday (3 February) for their end-of-semester exam with the rest of their classmates.
After being out of school for a while, the university stated that the two had formed a close bond with each other as they worked through their courses together.
When asked by the university, Ramesh said that he took his last exam, which was his STPM exam 37 years ago, “And today I’m back in an exam room sitting for my first exam for my Bachelors”
“I haven’t studied in a long time, so it was obviously hard to adapt at first, but my professors and the other students have given me a lot of support and guidance,” he continued.
Meanwhile, 77-year-old Krishnan said he was finding it hard to balance his academics and family obligations, however, he will not stop working towards realising his dream of becoming a lawyer.
“I manage my time effectively between family, work and studies, and I aim to do my best and pass with flying colours,” he said.
