With meticulous attention to detail, she transformed herself into the towering spirit from the animated classic. Her full-sized black costume featured a giant white face mask, a true embodiment of No-Face. Her students, though in less dramatic attire, joined in the festive spirit of Halloween.
A clip of this enchanting classroom experience was shared on Instagram by user glxdddd, showcasing the lecturer's spirited performance. As "No-Face" made a grand entrance, she carried a small cauldron that appeared to emit mystical smoke. Twirling around, she playfully flicked the light switches on and off, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a mischievous poltergeist.
The magical show continued with a spellbinding trick involving dry ice. As the students watched in awe, she poured a mysterious liquid into a container, conjuring an enchanting smoky effect.
After the captivating performance, the lecture went on, but the students were undoubtedly experiencing a class like no other. "No-Face" used a classroom pointer to teach them about Halloween, adding a delightful twist to their usual routine.
Post-class, it was time for a visit to the school canteen, where all eyes were on "No-Face" as she shuffled in, accompanied by a few students dressed as bananas. Placing her order at a food stall, she left the staff there in amazement.
The video ended with "No-Face" dashing back to the staff room, holding a packed lunch in hand.
What makes this heartwarming story even more surprising is the revelation that the lecturer is not a Studio Ghibli fan. To prepare for the role, she embarked on thorough research about the character once she acquired the costume.
She dedicated a considerable amount of time to plan the sequence of actions she would perform in her No-Face costume, as well as to prepare the props. Her commitment to creating a memorable experience for her students was truly admirable.
She further added a delightful touch to her Halloween celebration by appearing in a different costume, an orange T-Rex, for her Friday class on October 27th.
In a considerate move, she had informed her class in advance to come dressed in Halloween costumes, enabling them to capture a memorable class photo and cherish the spirit of the holiday.
