SEVENTEEN’s Joshua Accused of Being on His Phone During Fan Call, Fans Come to His Defense!

Stars often engage in fan signings as part of their album promotions or for special events, allowing fans to meet them personally. With the shift to online events post-COVID-19, these fan signings have become accessible to a global audience.

However, these interactions can sometimes lead to misunderstandings, as recently demonstrated by an incident involving SEVENTEEN’s Joshua.

During a video call event on June 8th, one fan accused Joshua of being distracted by his phone while they were speaking, sparking outrage online. The fan expressed frustration over the high cost of participating in these events, stating, "I was talking about myself when he suddenly laughed while looking at his phone.

“Did I spend tens of thousands of dollars to watch you play on your phone?"

The reality of the situation, however, was soon clarified. Another fan shared their interaction with Joshua on the same day, explaining that they had asked him to sing part of SEVENTEEN’s song “Hug.”

Joshua, unable to recall the lyrics, had to look them up on his phone. "I asked Shua to sing it because I love ‘Hug’ so much, but because he couldn’t remember the lyrics well, he searched on his phone. While searching, he said sorry," the fan recounted.

Sharp-eyed fans quickly connected this explanation with the initial accusation, using video comparisons to reveal the truth. Many accused the original poster of fabricating their story to damage Joshua's reputation.

This incident highlights the potential harm social media can inflict on someone's image and underscores the importance of not believing everything we see or read online.

It's crucial to approach social media with kindness and enjoy it without getting caught up in negativity.
