According to a Facebook post shared by Borneo Network said that the 36-year-old man got himself into trouble after taking his joke way too far when he went to the Tapah police station and tried to trick the police officers.

He identified himself as a police officer from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) headquarters at Bukit Aman in Kuala Lumpur. He told the officers that he was there to arrest a man, who was also a police officer at the station.

Supt. Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the man reportedly entered the station at around 3:20 pm and was taken into custody.

He explained that the suspect went to his car to “grab some paperwork” and came back into the station bringing a cake, telling the officers that it was only a “prank.” However, the man continued to lie, now saying that he is actually an officer from the Kuching district police Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The Tapah police officers carried out a background check on the man and learned that he was never a police officer.
