In a recent viral post on Xiao Hong Shu (RED), a lady working in HR shared a hilarious encounter she had with a "mama's boy" during a job interview in China. The man thought it was a great idea to bring his mom along for support, but it turned out to be anything but a good move.
At first, the HR lady thought the mom was just there to wait and offer some moral support. But boy, was she wrong! The mom came armed with all her son's documents and info, insisting she join him in the interview room just to watch.
The HR lady tried to explain that only the interviewee was allowed in, but the mom wasn't having it.
After some back-and-forth, the HR lady reluctantly gave in, with a warning not to interfere. But guess what? The mom couldn't help herself. She started answering questions for her son, praising him and even promoting his past projects.
As expected, the guy turned down the job a few days later without even consulting HR. But when he tried to come back, complaining about overtime at his new job, he found out the position had been filled.
Frustrated, the mom called HR, accusing them of being rude and threatening to report them. But the HR lady wisely decided to steer clear of any further drama.
The whole saga left netizens in stitches, as they couldn't believe someone would go to such lengths for their mom.
