Because of the bad weather condition and continuous heavy rain which have caused some areas to start flooding recently, the ministry has warned the public to not do anything that could invite danger to themselves.
The video, which was shared by user Haziemi Haziz on TikTok has since garnered over 187,000 views at the time of writing.
In the video, two men are seen eating bread during the flood. One of them abruptly dipped his bread into the flood water before eating it, which shocked Malaysian netizens.
Many disapprove of the man’s action, saying that flood waters are dirty and polluted and that he could get sick from consuming it, “Don’t even try. That is reckless and dangerous!” one person said.
…and we totally agree! Flood water is very dangerous.
Be aware that flood water may contain sewage and eating or drinking anything contaminated by flood water can cause diarrheal diseases such as E.coli or Salmonella.
