Man Earns RM1.5K Has To Pay RM900 A Month For New Car, Asks M’sians For Advice

A Malaysian who had bought himself a brand new car posted an anonymous “message” on Facebook asking for online advice.

The individual, who apparently earns RM1,500 a month said that his loan for a new car had just been approved, and he is now required to pay RM900 a month, “Any advice on how to cut costs on food?” he asks. 

Malaysians then shared their confusion after the man’s “cry for help” went viral online.

They also voiced their disapproval of his poor financial planning and advised the man to sell his new car and use public transportation instead.

“You shouldn’t be cutting costs on food for a car! You should get rid of the car now while you still have the chance,” one person commented.

While another person said: “Buy a smaller, used car. It’s cheaper and can still get you around.”
