In a video that was shared by user @aziemafiq on TikTok, the man was seen to be very shocked after his car “disappeared.”
He continued saying that he also received a summons from the authorities after he was found to have committed a parking offense in an unauthorized place.
Apparently his car didn’t go missing, but was towed by the Shah Alam Municipal Council (MBSA) for illegally parking along road shoulders.
The video has since gone viral and garnered over 1.6 million views at the time of writing.
Netizens took to the comment section to share similar experiences of their car being towed by the authorities for indiscriminate parking, “It took them less than 5 minutes and my car disappeared.”
However, there are also some people who pointed out that the authorities were just doing their job and it was the driver’s fault for parking his car at the side of the road, which could be dangerous for other road users.
“It’s your own fault. Take this as a lesson and remember that there are laws,” one person said.
There is a reason why some spaces are marked as a No-Parking zone. By violating the rule, you just disregard your social responsibility!
