“Please, Mohon Laluan” M’sian Driver Uses Printed Sign As Signal To Change Lanes

Have you ever tried to make a turn while driving and noticed that your turn signal sound is missing?

This is the most typical indication that your turn signal is broken, and it needs to be fixed ASAP because when you’re driving a car, you’re most likely to use the turn signal to communicate with others on the road.

However, it’s also important for drivers to understand hand signals, too. Any car with a broken, missing or obscured turn signal is required by law to use hand signals when changing lanes or turning.

Not only that, but you should also understand when other drivers and cyclists are signaling you.

Recently, a video went viral of a car that uses a sign that was printed on a piece of paper and held on by a stick. He could simply just use his hand, but hey, where’s the fun in that, right?

In the 9-seconds video, shared by user @jamieyeoh shows a driver who was changing lanes, and instead of using the typical car signal or his hands, he used a sign that he printed out on a piece of paper instead.

The sign reads: “Please, mohon laluan” which translates to, “Please, make way!”

After the car behind allowed the man to change his lane, he then flipped over the sign which then had the word: “Thank you!” at the back of it.

How cute!

The video has since garnered over 215,000 views at the time of writing.

Netizens took to the comment section to share their amusement, and praised the man for his creativity, “If he had put this much effort into it, I’d stop my car to let him pass any day.”

“His signal is probably broken. He is the most polite driver I have ever seen,” said one commenter.

So creative, and not a bad idea…
