Man Panics At JPJ Roadblock, Started Removing The Tint On His Car’s Windows

Malaysia is one of the sunniest countries in the world, and Malaysians, spend almost 3 hours every day stuck in their cars, mostly due to traffic…

So it’s no surprise that most Malaysian cars are tinted dark which helps prevent the car from heating up and the driver from being blinded by the glare of the sun.

However, the law does not allow Malaysians to completely darken their vehicle. For safety concerns, the front windscreen, as well as the driver and front passenger side windows must remain transparent, allowing 70% and 50% Visible Light Transmission (VLT), as reported by Shield Smith.

And if you do not adhere to these specifications, you might face significantly high fines and penalties!

Recently a video went viral of a man who was driving towards a JPJ roadblock, who then started panicking due to his dark windows. Alamak!

He then started pulling off the tints while driving the car.

The video has since garnered over 1.7 million views on TikTok.

Many in the comment section share their amusement: “Wah, you rip it off your window so fast,” one person said.

This is funny but so dangerous! Please always keep your hands on the steering wheel and your eyes on the road when you are driving.

And remember to follow the new tint regulations that have been set by the Road Transport Department (JPJ)!

Be safe on the road, guys!
