Internet Reunites Woman with Cherished RM10 Note from Her Late Father

We all know how social media connects people in remarkable ways—reuniting long-lost friends, finding lost pets, and even bringing back cherished memories.

Recently, in Melaka, a woman experienced this power firsthand when she was reunited with a precious RM10 note that held deep sentimental value.

The search for the owner of this special RM10 note began when Facebook user Hyza Ezany posted a photo of it. The note bore a heartfelt message: "The last cash given by dad on 21/5/2010 Friday 7.10am. I love you, dad."

Hyza's post quickly gained traction, garnering over 24,000 shares since it was uploaded on November 30. Thanks to the viral nature of social media, the owner of the note, Anne Malar Yesudass, was found within a day. She expressed her immense gratitude to Hyza and everyone who shared the post.

"I found the person holding on to this now. Thank you so so... much. It was the most valuable thing in my life," Anne wrote in a heartfelt Facebook post.

Anne shared that she was 17 years old when her father gave her the RM10 note as pocket money before dropping her off at school that fateful morning. Tragically, it was the last time she saw him, as he was involved in a fatal accident later that day.

Anne had cherished the note from May 21, 2010, until it was lost in a theft on September 1, 2018. "I was not sad that my purse was stolen, but I was terribly sad that this valuable thing in my life was stolen together," she said.

"There was always an ache in my heart whenever I thought of it."

When Anne's sister sent her screenshots of Hyza's post, she was overjoyed. "I really, really feel so blessed. I thank so, so, so much sis Hyza Ezany for your kindness in sharing this," Anne wrote. "The word ‘thank you’ alone is not enough, but the only thing that I can express now is my gratitude."

Netizens expressed their happiness for Anne and how moved they were by her story. "Congratulations on getting it back! May your dad rest in peace," one person wrote. Another commented, "Why are my tears dripping from reading this? I am happy for you. May your dad rest in peace."
